# Baccarat Strategy – Fibonacci system

The Fibonacci betting system can be easily used when you play baccarat. This system is based on the Fibonacci Sequence, which was developed by Leonardo Pisano, the talented Italian mathematician in the very beginning of the 13th century. The sequence is following: 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55 and so on. As you probably see, the next number in the row is the sum of the two previous numbers.

Using the Fibonacci, you start from 1 unit bet. A unit is an amount of money you are going to place as a bet. We advise you to set a unit that will not be more than 1% of the total amount of your bankroll. If the first hand wins, there is no sequence and you will bet 1 unit again. If the first hand loses, then you bet 1 unit again. If there is a loss again, the next bet will be 2 units. You lose again so your next bet will be 3 and so on. If you win, you should cross out the last two numbers in the sequence. The sequence ends when you have returned to a 1 unit bet.

The Fibonacci is less aggressive than, for example, the Martingale. It takes a longer sequence of losses to ruin you than when you use the Martingale System.

You can exceed your bankroll or reach the table limit before ending the sequence.

For example, \$10 is your initial bet and the table limit is \$500. So, if you lose 9 hands in a row you can’t increase your bet any more.
